About NoHo Guitar
NoHo Youth Arts Guitar began in 1998
as a DIY project to bring guitar and music
reading skills to Los Angeles youth.
It has cooperated with the Sir Charles
Blues Lab, Heart of Los Angeles Youth,
LA Family Housing, The Halcyon Center,
The Martin Dance Company, and The City
of Los Angeles in its efforts.
In 2009, NoHo Guitar’s founder, Steve
Housewright moved to St. Louis, and will
begin a new guitar outreach program entitled,
“Strings Attached” with St. Stephen\’s Episcopal Church of Ferguson, MO.
